Congratulations to David J. Millstein, Pro Bono Director, who received the 2016 Louis J. Goffman Award from the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation during the Pennsylvania Bar Association Annual Meeting Awards Luncheon in Hershey yesterday. The Goffman Award is named for a late PBA president and recognizes individuals and organizations committed to outstanding pro bono service. Only one other WBA member received this honor: Milt Munk in 2005.
Pro Bono Coordinator Amanda Stein (left) and Pro Bono Assistant Coordinator Terrilyn Cheatham (right) were among those who traveled to Hershey to see David accept his award.
In recognition of the 30th annual Bench/Bar Conference of the Westmoreland Bar Association, we are opening the event for the first time to spouses/adult guests, and a special discounted rate is offered to all WBA members.
Registration for WBA members is only $100 and includes 4.5 hours of CLE, three meals, a networking reception, and entry to the Young Lawyers Hospitality Suite. Guests are welcome to attend all conference events; meals are pay-as-you-go or $160 for all meals.
The Westmoreland Bar Foundation is pleased to offer three law school scholarships, which are available to Westmoreland County residents for the 2016-17 school year. Students can be first, second or third year students and must be enrolled for the Fall semester. The total amount of the scholarships to be awarded is in the amount of $6,600.
